The darkness is growing

A beautiful rose
Soft colors, deep sweet scent
Bring back all the memories
Long forsaken, thoughts forgotten
Treasured moments resurrected
From the graves in which we left them

Lovely rose, it almost seems
As though a soul inside you dreams
Dreams of beauty, dreams of love
Dreams of life sent from above

But alas, sweet precious dreamer
Death shall come to steal the glimmer
Of joy you have brought to another

Beautiful rose, too soon withered
Spirit shining bright
Through the death of the light
One last petal, comes the end

Our souls shall be friends.
