Crown

a golden crown with shining jewels
atop a king or queenly head
reveals no pain, no suffering borne
by the wearer on which it rests

but a thorny crown, a crown of thorns
resting on a bleeding forehead
shows utmost pain and suffering
of the world resting on one single man

foamy, swirling manes
rearing, plunging through the surf
wild white horses
galloping in the sea
